Tony Tian, CFA
Bringing over 20 years of experience both in China and in the U.S., Tony founded in 2012. Previously, Tony was an Executive Director and Senior Research Analyst covering China Industrials and IT Services at Oppenheimer & Co. Prior to joining Oppenheimer, Tony was a Vice President and Senior Research Analyst at Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. and spearheaded the company's China equity research effort. Before Ladenburg, Tony worked at Ticonderoga Securities on the research team covering the Technology Supply Chain, Networking, and IT Hardware Sectors, and also at Pacific Crest Securities on the award-winning Semiconductors team. Prior to Wall Street, Tony was a finance manager at Virgin Mobile USA and at AT&T specializing in corporate planning/budgeting and marketing analytics. Tony holds a B.S. in Land Management from China Agricultural University in Beijing; a M.A. in Economics from the University of Connecticut; and a M.B.A. in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business. Tony has been a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a member of NYSSA since 2005 as well as a Financial Risk Manager (FRM) since 2002.
Senior Vice President
Dan serves as senior vice president and supervisor of our market intelligence and process control department. Dan is a highly regarded corporate executive with decades of working experience and a proven track record of using financial and operational data, including revenue, expenses, customer analytics, credit, accounts receivable, consumer lifecycle, and customer behavior, etc., to drive business decisions. Prior to joining us, Dan was a Senior Director at Sprint from 2006 to 2015, where he led a team of up to 7 staff in developing prepaid revenue and churn forecasts for a business unit with $4 billion in annual revenues and 15 million subscribers. From 2001 and 2006, Dan was a Director ( Division Manager) at AT&T, where he oversaw a team of up to 12 staff and covered business line with over $1.7 billion in receivables and $700 million in annual expenses. Dan holds a M.A. degree in Economics from Georgetown University and a B.A. degree in Business and Managerial Economics from Penn State University.
Senior Vice President
Marc is one of founding members of the firm and comes to us with a long and distinguished career in equity research. Most recently, Marc was a Senior Research Associate at J.P. Morgan covering software with a sub-sector focus on Business Intelligence, Operating Systems, and Software As A Service (SaaS). Prior to J.P. Morgan, Griffin was a Senior Associate at Thomas Weisel Partners (now part of Stifel Nicolaus), a Research Associate for Susquehanna International Group and Prudential Securities. His specialties range from Internet Infrastructure and Security software to Communication, Infrastructure and Security software. Marc holds a M.B.A. in Finance from Fordham University's Graduate School of Business as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA), concentration in Finance and a B.S. in International and Comparative Politics from Northeastern University in Boston, MA.
Senior Vice President
Steven splits his time between China and the U.S. and heads up our Beijing office after a distinguished career as co-founder and Chief Appraiser of Beijing Huazheng Real Estate Appraisal Co., Ltd. Steven has over 26 years of financial and capital market experience as a busines owner and investor. Steven holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Land Management from China Agricultural University and a Master of Law degree from Peking University. Steven is a lawyer and a certified Real Estate Appraiser in China as well as a registered real estate broker both in China and the State of NY.
Han joins us in early 2017 as an associate in our Beijing office after completing his Master’s degree at Texas A&M University. Previously Han has interned at PwC Zhong Tian’s Shanghai office where he gained first-hand experience in financial reporting and audit while getting involved with different audit projects. Han holds a Master of Science degree in Financial Economics from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Economics from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. Han also studied at Orebro University in Sweden as an exchange student in 2013.
Sherry joined our NJ office in October 2018 after completing her Master's degree in Economics from Yeshiva University. Previously, Sherry has completed internship in our New York office since December 2015. Sherry also holds a B.S. degree in Finance from Fordham University.
